BRINGING IN THE NEW YEAR 2026 WITH REFLECTIONS OF 2025

 Reflecting upon events of 2025, the most poignant event was the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10th 2025. Since TIME magazine didn't include Charlie in their important events of 2025 issue, I felt compelled to honor him in my way. Megyn Kelly professes her outrage that TIME magazine made an 'AI' Person of the Year. The Christian Post wrote: "Time magazine is facing backlash from one of conservative media’s biggest voices over its decision to snub Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk as its “Person of the Year” despite Kirk’s death marking the first major political assassination in the U.S. since the 1960s. Instead, the century-old magazine gave its annual award to a collective of tech titans leading the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution, framing the year as a tipping point when the technology "roared into view" with irreversible momentum. 

Born on October 14, 1993 and raised in the Chicago suburbs of Arlington Heights and Prospect Heights, Kirk became politically active in high school. His father was an architect and his mother was a mental health counselor. An Eagle Scout he was active in political aspects of high school. During that time he volunteered for the U.S. Senate campaign for Republican Mark Kirk of Illinois that was not a relative. During this time Charlie formed his conservative principles. 

Charlie wrote an essay for 'Breitbart News' where he critiqued the liberal bias in high school text books. He caught the attention of prominent conservatives which fed his goal. Charlie attended Harper College for a brief period and made the decision to drop out in order to become a full-time activist. He believed that a direct engagement in the world of politics. 

In 2012, at the age of 18, Charlie co-founded Turning Point USA (TPUSA), a non-profit organization that promoted conservative ideology on high school and college campuses. His agenda was to counter the "left-wing" (Marxist) bias in American education that has been indoctrinating America's youth for too long. Coupled with social engineers involving students from K-12, it was a goal to be engaged in. Chapters were formed across the nation that brought forth TPUSA in politics of America's youth. 

Charlie performed campus tours, student conferences, and online social media designed to "energize and mobilize young conservatives"; bringing forth an agenda of bringing truth to those indoctrinated by the corrupt Marxist teaching staff and social administrations across the nation. 

The Donald Trump campaign of 2016 became a goal for Charlie & TPUSA, seeking reformation and "making America great again". Charlie was given a speaking spot at the Republican National Convention, showing his influence within the GOP. When Donald Trump was elected and during his tenure as President of the United States, Charlie continued to rise and become known across the nation. Charlie frequently was a guest on conservative media and used his TPUSA platform to side with President Trump and attacked his critics. In 2019, Charlie was appointed as the chairman of "Students for Trump". Charlie's close relationship to the Trump family improved his position as a key element in the MAGA movement. 

Charlie Kirk was an important voice during President Trump's campaign in 2024. In March of 2025, President Trump appointed him to the United States Air Force Academy of Visitors, which further strengthened his establishment with the Republican party. 

In 2020, Charlie launched the "Charlie Kirk Show", a 3-hour daily radio talk show program. Soon he became a popular conservative voice nationally. The topics were cultural and political discussions. His YouTube channel was active from 2018 until his death. He had millions of followers on YouTube and in various platforms that included TikTok, Instagram, and X (Twitter). 

Revered as courageous truth-teller, Charlie was attacked by bias critics, misinformation formulated by Marxist media and conspiracy theories. He was accused of falsehood concerning subjects like "COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and 2020 presidential election". 

In 2021, Charlie married Erika Frantzve. They had two children. 

On September 10th 2025, Charlie Kirk's life ended by a bullet in Orem, Utah from an assassin's rifle. He was 31 years old. His death sent shock waves across America. His death was the centerpiece of hatred and violence orchestrated by prominent Democrats in Washington, DC. 

Charlie Kirk's legacy is that the platform for TPUSA and MAGA movement did not die when Charlie did, indeed it has blossomed in his memory by his wife and millions across the United State who mourns and condemns violence that supersedes discussion that Charlie so eloquently promoted rather than anger making his discussions spreading logic and documented truth that offends the Marxist cancer that permeates our society and that has been orchestrated by the "Deep State". It is amazing what Charlie accomplished in his short life and a testament that our culture and society must reform itself. As much time as passed since the death of Charlie Kirk, he is still mourned and remembered by many Americans and the Trump family, including myself. 

As the TPUSA website states: "Charlie Kirk poured his life into building a movement rooted in faith, freedom, and love of country. He believed America’s future depended on raising up a generation who would NEVER SURRENDER. That vision is alive and stronger than ever. Prayers are rising, support is pouring in, millions of students are rallying, volunteers are flooding in, and vigils are filling churches and schools across the nation. The fire Charlie lit is burning brighter than ever."

As a final note, I used little written about Charlie via Wikipedia because of the obvious bias of its writer(s), which is why I do NOT rely solely on Wikipedia for information concerning political persons.
